[TheThinkTank] organizational meetings: structure, facilitation, etc?

The Good Life Community Bicycle Shop in Calgary, Alberta runs quite
effectively on a consensus-based model without any official hierarchy.
  We break into task-focused committees (IE funding, structure,
budget, legal, etc) that are open to all interested and have larger
community meetings, which we've coined "Box Socials", less frequently
to keep everyone and everything connected.   There are enough of us
focused on rocking this revolution and having fun while doing so that
breakdowns are easily avoidable.
