Here at Phoenix Bikes (Arlington, Va), we’re also excited to be heading up to NYC for the Youth Bike Summit with 9 youth and 3 staff. I’m new to this role as of last fall and am looking forward to meeting all of you and learning more about your great work. I’ve not posted yet, but have enjoyed following the conversations here at the Think Tank.

And, Kim, Bikes and Books sounds awesome!

Often maligned by the press and certain sectors of the public, the youth have been actively trying to share their side of the story and change the negative perceptions about their activity. Although their slogan is "Bikes Up, Guns Down," they are often mis-identified and policed as if they were a gang with violent intentions.
