One way that I am working on for our biodiesel cooperative (<a href="http://www.greenguildbiodiesel.org">www.greenguildbiodiesel.org</a>) is to establish an umbrella nonprofit in which the coop is a program.&nbsp; We are currently putting together our 501c3 application, but I have spoken with a lawyer who focuses on coops and nonprofits.&nbsp; Its possible to have a coop that is a nonprofit but there are quite a few potential conflicts of interest that need to be addressed beforehand. <br>
