Seeking a Mechanic Fieldworker for new BNB Project in Uganda
Bikes Not Bombs is partnering with St. Mary's Lacor Hospital to launch a new project in Amuru, Northern Uganda to provide bicycles to 300 village health workers. The goal is to improve the health workers' efficiency and productivity in providing health services to people in rural areas of Amuru, with the hope of positively impacting the overall health outcomes in Amuru. In order to do this we must establish the necessary bicycle repair infrastructure in Amuru, train the village health workers in bicycle mechanics, refurbish the bicycles, and prepare the Amuru Village Health Team to sustain the project long-term.
Bikes Not Bombs is seeking a Mechanic Fieldworker to help implement this new project in Amuru for a period of 6-9 months starting in January 2012. Please refer to the Job Description online at http://bikesnotbombs.org/uganda-field-worker for more information on how to apply, and please share this job opportunity with others who may be interested and qualified. The application deadline is October 31, 2011 but applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis before the deadline and we encourage applicants to apply earlier.
Thanks!
