One of the greatest assets we have had at the Free Cycles community shop is the boxes full of old brakes- you can make great hooks from old brakes. They are great for hanging bikes or wheels and such. Just use one brake arm- some are curved just right, others will not work. And they already are set up to take a screw (with washer).
We also have lower saw horses (homemade) that we put the front wheel of the bike up and over. None the less, we are looking for more ways to store bikes too. -Bob Giordano
