We use a water based varsol substitute (Bio-Cycle from www.mec.ca) which we filter through coffee filters for increased life. The coffee filters (which are potentially quite toxic) end up in the garbage. When the Bio-Cycle will not longer filter/settle to a clear liquid we pour it back in the original containers and drop it off at the local dump's hazardous waste depot.

Ah, friendly simple green. Such a nice name. Is there anything you can do to this stuff to feel better about disposing of it. What do you guys do? .
