hey thanks Andrew!

This looks really helpful! We do need an email component. I'm also wondering about options to export the stats to an excel spreadsheet for example. But I'll do some more homework. This does look interesting though!

Hey Jesse,

If your shop has internet access, you could take a look at:

http://freehub.bikekitchen.org/

We have not used it, but I imagine others on the list have and could give you some feedback. We were hoping to avoid writing something ourselves, so this looked good. Unfortunately we needed to add a shop credit component to it, and I think the Freehub app is more in maintenance mode at this point.

I'm messing with a node-based app for us, but it's still just a prototype.

 Hey Folks!

So at Our Community Bikes in Vancouver, we're thinking it's time to set up a proper sign in / sign out system, combined with a membership and volunteer database.

Ideally we would like to know what software is out there that can track people coming in and using our space, a simple laptop or desktop kiosk where folks can type in info, and it would enter our database.

Also to serve as a database that members can register into, and again wherein volunteers can sign up, and log their hours, and tasks accomplished.

 sooo.. any ideas?
