Did one last year w great success. Used TV and newspaper, paired the drive w bike building/fixing volunteering, and did two separate dates. If folks missed the first, could make the second. We had an event chosen to support and made sure we put that out front. It’s a known local event through the Catholic Church, folks give more readily if they know where their gift is going. We are Queen City wheel house in Helena, MT. Helena community including outlying communities is about 70,000 people. Pulled in about 250-300 bikes, and we didn’t specify what types of bikes we wanted. Initial focus was kids bikes but we ended up w all varieties both donated and given away.

Hey guys!
I was a member of the think tank long ago, but have recently rejoined. I'm wanting to do a youth bicycle drive for the holidays. Anyone ever done one before? Got any tips?
I'm just hoping to help people clear their garages of unwanted youth bikes, and then in turn, provide them for inner city youth here in Chattanooga that need them and could use them for Christmas.
Thanks! Kat ____________________________________
