As an alternative, you might check to see if your state has a nonprofit umbrella organization. In CA, for instance, the California Association of Nonprofits offers some fairly affordable insurance policies through an insurance co.

Bici Coop in Birmingham, AL is insured through Philadelphia as well, via a local company that specializes in non-profits/alternative organizations. We have D&O, liability for the shop, and coverage for our races/rides.

It took us a while to figure out what we needed and where to go though, so a resource like the Alliance has proposed would have been super helpful!
