Carolyn,
Are there any Advocacy Advance Grants that the Alliance for Biking & Walking offers for the important work that community bike shops, earn-a-bike programs and other collective efforts do?

Hey think tank folks-
The Alliance for Biking & Walking http://www.PeoplePoweredMovement.org is in the final weeks of our 2011 Photo Contesthttp://www.PeoplePoweredMovement.org/photocontest%0A — and I wanted to extend an invitation to submit photos of your important work with community bike shops, earn-a-bike programs and other collective efforts.
We've got some significant prizeshttp://www.peoplepoweredmovement.org/site/index.php/photo-contest/prizes lined up, including a free ($4K-value) biking or walking trip to Italy, that you could use as an auction item or other fundraiser for your initiative. The winning images in each category will also be published in Momentum magazine, so your efforts could gain national (well, continental!) recognition, too. But beyond the recognition, the real intention of the Alliance Photo Contest is mutual aid: to continue to build an online photo library for bicycle advocates across the nation to use, free of charge, to professionalize their materials with high quality images.
If you're interested in participating, don't wait! *The submission period ends Oct 31st. *
