A local healthcare organization just released a helmet PSA aimed at parents, highlighting the dangers of riding bikes - brain injuries, fatalities, collisions, and other scary stuff. I sent them an email expressing my concern that this PSA will deter parents and children from riding, and that this will actually decrease the safety of bicyclists, not to mention that bicycling is part of a healthy, active lifestyle, etc., etc., etc.

Anyway, they were not very responsive to my message, and I would like to send them examples of effective helmet campaigns that highlight safe behavior and helmet use without talking about dying children.
