POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are hiring Community Open Shop Coordinators to facilitate one open shop shift each week. Between the hours of: 11:30 am and 7:30 pm Tuesday - Friday 11:30 am and 5:30 pm Saturday *Reports to* *Shop manager and Executive Director* *Responsibilities* include: * operation of cash register and POS system * greeting and signing in patrons of the shop * teaching patrons bicycle repair skills * coordinating and appropriately tasking shop volunteers * organizing shop pre and post open hours *Qualifications*: * Background in bicycle mechanics * Strong inter-personal skills * Bilingual in English and Spanish * Ability to multi-task and maintain awareness of all happenings in a busy shop * Background in community based projects, community service, or non-profit work * Knowledge of Santa Barbara Bicycle Community and safe bicycle riding practices * Firmly believes in bicycles as a viable form of transportation *TO RESPOND*: Please include resume and cover letter to be sent to shop@bicicentro.org *Please attach your resume as a pdf.*
