a tip i learned from trying unsuccessfully to reuse/modify flyer designs:

if you design the flyer so that most of the generic, repeating info ("bike mechanics class", "bikes for sale!", "Earn-a-bike!") is all in one part of the flyer, and the specifics ("at our shop", "Friday, September 12, 2011", "$15 at the door") in another place, you can easily reuse the flyer by changing just the details.
works about the same whether you're modifying a digital file to be printed, or using the copier with an updated "slice" pasted over the original.

LOVE the idea! Would you be willing to send over a copy of your letter, to
give me a better idea of how to pitch it?

Thank you!
