The BLK Bike Panel & Discussion: honoring historic Black cyclists, highlighting Black-led Chicago cycling groups, and connecting cycling advocates
Saturday, February 23rd, 2-4PM Experimental Station, 6100 S. Blackstone Ave., Chicago, IL 60637

The BLK Bike Panel & Discussion is an event that is autonomously organized by a few cyclists on the Southside with the intention of getting black cyclists in a room to discuss collaborations, barriers that stunt our collective efforts to get more black people riding, and ways in which to overcome those obstacles.

The event will honor Major Taylor with a short video screening and historian followed by a panel featuring Bill Gaston (Major Taylor Bike Club), Sam Scipio (Comrade Cycles), Taryn Randle (2wheelgods), Michael ”Tekhen” Strode (Red Bike & Green Chicago), and Mulubwa Munkanta (SRAM). Moderated by Xia Xiang W

This event is presented in association with Blackstone Bicycle Works and is being organized by Kahari Black. More info on our website, here.
