If you're like us, bottle cages abound. We haven't used them for greases and oils, but bottle cages holding topless water bottles do pretty good service holding various small tools and items.

You might try cut-down 5 gal or smaller buckets. They can be screwed into a stud with a shim and washers. Bucket design contains spills, is easy to clean.
