Our shop in Toronto shows up on the map, and i did not have to enter the lat. and long.
i guess sometimes it just works.

In a nut shell you have to enter your lattitude and longitude into your directory entry.  If you don't know it, just enter and save your address and visit this link to automatically calculate and set it:

Note: If you entered a "poorly formated" address, it may have trouble calculating it.  Try looking your address up in google maps first, and using the way they format it.
