We use this for the 990EZ:

I haven't tried any other ones, but this one seems to work for our simple needs. You do need to wait until February/March for them to update to the new year's forms

For California, we print & mail. I am not aware of any website that efiles for California nonprofits. The PDF form on the CA website allows you to type in and then print, so it's not that bad.

Also, don't forget the California AG RRF-1 form yearly and the California Secretary of State "Statement of Information" form every other year

For California orgs - the state filing seems easier, still allowing you/us to simply fill, print, and mail-in the forms. But if you have any suggestions there, I'd be happy to hear.
