I had said earlier that it was easier to mark tools than require an I.D. or a shoe to check out a tool box. The main reason we do this however, is to build trust, build relations, honor the human spirit of cooperation. We find it comes around and really helps us too. Missoula is a city of 100,000, full of community groups and projects, and the place feels cozy, like you know the people first hand.
We change our systems bit by bit over the years, so the current Tool Trust may change too, yet for now it works for us.
