I agree with Sam, it should be the organization&#39;s prerogative, not anyone else&#39;s, unless your by-laws say otherwise. I&#39;d check those to see what they say about hiring. <br><br>As well, I have the same law background as Sam. <br>

I don&#39;t see why not.  Sure, you&#39;re a non-profit, but you&#39;re not a government agency or anything.  You should be able to hire anyone you like without advertising the position first.<br><br>That said, I&#39;m not a lawyer (nor do I play one on TV).<br>
