The WABA sponsored EOTR project runs during the summer time,
and most coops will have people at WABA events,
tabling, riding, or helping in some way (mobile repair clinics).
Last I knew the WABA.org website had a section for coops,
as they are shop based discounts (10-20%) too for people who don't
like to get greasy.
Velocity probably has people on this list, and can speak for themselves.
Not that the others don't, but whatever...
UMD and Howard have probably got something going on too,
likely in the forming stages, last i knew, depending upon how
far out in suburbatory you plan on going. 8-/
Farmer's Markets in season probably have something from one
of the coops. Volunteer run, so check it out,
January isn't a growing month, but somethings going on
indoors, and some rides too.
Potomac Peddlers is more of a commercial group,
but has newspaper type monthly ride sheets,
available at commercial shops, online or joining
for $.
CritMass in Dupont Circle will have the underground,
and other types of riding (maybe tall bike,
etc.) Pedicabs exist in DC (likely seasonal?)
and have some issues with National Parks Service
last I knew. They and skateboarders, rollerbladers
and others have been on critmass, a rather small
maybe 100 people in good weather version,
but some interesting folks. Searching indie media
might have some footage...
IceBike doesn't really exist, but some ride year round
anyways...
