Just my 2 cents... I am a software engineer by trade and degree and I use Drupal and Joomla for most things, but while both of them have powerful functionality, both of them are often way over the head of most of this crowd. Given that 90% of software development is in support -- I stopped pushing them as solutions because support always fell back on me.
