Andy, thanks for the info. One more question, so essentially as a "host site" we would have to find some money to make this happen, it is not funded fully by Americorps?

Hi,
Usually an organization applies to be the overarching site for AmeriCorps within your state and then organizations such as yours complete proposals to become a host site.  You will want to explore whether you want an AmeriCorps versus an AmeriCorps/VISTA member.  The allowed duties of each are different and the host site’s financial contribution is different.
