Hey Ainsley!

How do I order some? I want 4. Can I mail you a check? Or do you want to barter for 2 hand screened BICAS posters?  We just rode in the Tucson Parade of Lights with a Bike!Bike! Toronto guest rider (Alicia).

Sorry for only getting you the one recipe this year - thought it is my favorite.

Here is another easy one to kick off for the next round:

Flax Crackers

Mix in medium to large bowl:
 Several cups of flax seeds
Up to a cup of ground flax powder
from here on out the ingredients and amounts are up to you:
sesame seeds
chopped nuts
chia seeds
salt
pepper
herbs and spices (i like parsley, coriander and paprika)
tamari or bragg amino acids
add water until mixture is viscous (note: it will thicken as it sits)
spread thinly onto cookie sheet
if desired, cover with sundried tomoatoes, thinly sliced olives or other toppings
choose your crisping method:
lay pan out in the hot sun on a dry day
or
use a dehydrator
or
use the oven on a low (250) setting

Store in air tight container unless you're into soft crackers.

Love,
Casey

We have the first edition of our cookbook finished and ready for sale at the shop! With about 40 Vegan, DIY recipes it's a great zine and only costs $5 ($4 for volunteers). Buy one for your kitchen, your Mum or a pal. All proceeds go to helping run Bike Pirates (and our awesome kitchen program).

Thanks to everyone who contributed and encouraged us with this project. Please tell interested folks they should *continue* to send me recipes, so we can do a second volume next Summer. recipes, suggestions, or comments can be sent to: lunch (at) bikepirates (dot) com

x Ainsley.
