boo whoo - Minneapolis already has a ton of cyclists and bike shops galore.

If Bike!Bike! were really ambitious it would hold it's conference in a city that really needed some work as far as training and resources were concerned. Given that I'm from Louisville, Ky we could really use something big like that here.

bike!bike! doesn't exist as an ongoing institution. a community bike shop (or a few), in some city agrees to do the work of organizing and hosting every year, so it's totally different people each time. if louisville's interested, show up this year and make a pitch, arguing why you're best suited to host in 2010.
