Hi,
I'm not sure this qualifies but a few years back I made a rolling tool board https://simplicityvintagecycles.com/2012/07/26/a-little-housekeeping-storing-bike-tools-effectively/. It may be useful for more dynamic or in transition shops. I did end up making something more permanent eventually but this setup https://simplicityvintagecycles.com/2016/08/07/the-home-bicycle-workshop/ is a bit much for a student situation.

Hey! We're going to redesign our tool boards soon, and want to look at

We have a half dozen or so of these tables, each with color-coordinated tools, stand, pump, garbage/recycling, et al which makes it easy to see when something's missing or when someone doesn't know where something goes. We copied the idea nearly verbatim from the good people down at the SLC Bike Collective.
