We recently made a connection with the hospital who now gives us as many kids helmets as we need. 300 or so over the past year.

We bought a ton of these helmets for an OTS grant and gave them
away. they are about $8 shipped and work.
they arent the best but they work. note, they run pretty small, so
if you are giving them to adults get larges.
