Here are my cliff notes:
 
1) Rely on volunteers as opposed to employees during the economic crunch, ironically lay offs will increase the volunteer pool.
2) Shift a larger percentage of your non-profit activities to for-profit activities, aka "sell" more bikes as the demand for cheaper transportation increases.
3) Grants are becoming increasingly competitive, so go after them now as opposed to later.
4) Larger organizations [with endowments] may have enough in the bank to ride it out, the smaller ones, like most of us, are going to have more trouble.
