Dave,http://lists.bikecollectives.org/mmsearch.cgi/thethinktank-bikecollectives.org?config=thethinktank-bikecollectives.org%3bmethod=and%3bformat=short%3bsort=score%3bwords=insurance%3bpage=1here's the link to the archives of all the discussion of insurance. It's a big conversation.
Bike farm uses a company called Zurich. I can't attached our policy, but you can email me directly if you want it.-MomokoOn Thu, Feb 21, 2013 at 8:11 AM, Andy Greif <cbcofme@gwi.net> wrote:

Subject: [TheThinkTank] insurance for community bike program- workshops, rides, etc.hello everyone,i am dave baker from the bike works in silver city, new mexico. i am a new addition to this list so i figured i would send out this query and see what ideas everyone has.i am looking for an insurance provider that offers a policy tuned for the type of work we do. we previously had insurance for a retail bike shop but it doesn't apply since retail shop customers generally don't enter the shop space and don't usually use the tools.we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs weekly free workshops that are open to the public. we also take kids on a weekly bike ride.in april, we are having a fundraising event in a local city park and the city is requiring that we get liability coverage for the day, which costs around $300. A year long policy would cover special events such as this and make much more sense.i am looking for feedback from other organizations that have dealt with this same issue.thanks,dave_______________________________________________
