We also receive money from our local hospital for helmets. For about three straight years now we've been able to purchase hundreds of helmets through small grants from them.

Similar in Missoula: We asked and a hospital accepted: They bought 480
helmets (minimum order I think for helmets with logos), with their logo on
one side, ours on the other, donated to us, and we gave them away.  This
year we asked and received $500 cash for youth program.

We are also working at a fever pitch to make our roads and motorists 'safe.'

I've been looking for a non-plastic, non-fossil fuel helmet, with no luck
yet except for old gladiator armor.
