We pay $1750 a month for a storefront space (in a less than sparkley neighbourhood). it&#39;s ~1500sq feet (800 main floor and full basement).<br><br>This is in Toronto, a city where any house in the downtown area is going to cost you at least half a million dollars. rent and prices for *space* in this city are very expensive.<br>

Oh, just a detail, most real estate agents I&#39;ve talked with calculate<br>
price per square foot based on the annual rent. Hence:  $350 * 12 /<br>
1600 = $2.625 price per sq foot.<br>
