Omg sorry I know right?? Hard to find in Vancouver these days too, this was Phoenix 10 years ago and like I said, it's a cross fit now. 😵

Ungh you people and your spaces where do you live with spaces like that.

A non-commercial venture in NYC hasn't been able to command floors that big or ceilings that high since the 90s.

Y'all are sure makin' em look great though!!! 💚🐙🚲

Several years ago we built this rack at Bike Saviours in AZ:

I don't have a pic of just the rack so you have to look in the back of the pic and you can see that the racks are almost free standing but are mounted into the ceiling rafters, and squared off on the floor but only mounted at the top (if I remember correctly). Two ladders were needed to get bikes down from the top rack, as the top deck bikes were hanging from both wheels. We mounted those closer together as it was more of a "storage" solution whereas the lower rack was easier to access and used for bikes in progress.

I believe this space is a cross fit now so we can't ask for close ups but hope this is somewhat useful!

How do you or customers get bikes up and down from that top rack?

We at the Elyria (Ohio) Bicycle Education Center are pretty new to much of how to run a coop and shop. We appreciate the collective intelligence being shared here.

We are looking for a good and inexpensive way to display bikes in our front 'sales room' without relying on kickstands to hold up the bikes (some have'em, some don't).

Willing to build wood racks or whatever but have not seen anything reasonable yet.

Any suggestions?
