Someone just reminded me that the Velo City conference next year is in Vancouver BC -- it isn't usually in North America, so that rules. They're accepting proposals, and their theme this year is spotlighting communities that are doing a lot of work to get people on bikes. I noticed on tour that in some of the unlikely places where biking is just starting to get big fast there's a bike project at the heart of it all. I'd *love* to see more representation at this giant, important conference for a) bike projects and b) the places where they're making magic happen.
