Here's the policy sent over by Reda at Third Hand Bicycle Co-op in Columbus, OH:

THBC will not tolerate any oppressive behavior. Oppressive behavior is defined as any conduct that demeans, marginalizes, rejects, threatens or harms any living being on the basis of ability, experience, age, class/income level, cultural background, education, ethnicity, gender, immigration status, language, nationality, physical appearance, race, religion, self-expression, sexual orientation, status as a parent or other such factors. Anyone found violating this policy will be asked to leave the Co-op.

Subject: [TheThinkTank] Anti-oppression policies?

Hi folks,

I got our steering committee to agree to developing a written and posted
anti-discrimination/anti-oppression policy (thought we had one but turns out
not). Now I have to write one. Does anyone have an example from their
collective they could share?

Thanks
Sam, Iowa City Bike Library
