Hi guys,

I've been wondering about welding.

I'm an ok welder. I can get the job done. I'm ok when things are set up for me in a class setting, but haven't worked outside that; and standing in big stores trying to figure out what gear to buy really confuses me.

I do have access to sheds and experienced friends who would support me; and in my community setting if I was pretty confident with setting that up I'd probably get good support (especially if I was doing something that could benefit everyone).

When I stared thinking about it, there's a million questions around welding set up I'd like to ask the ThinkTank. Do you think you could help me answer these?

Questions I have:

-Set up and materials needed,
-Hardware- i.e. buildings, power input, flooring, etc
-Preferences for different materials or machines
-Experience- show and tell of really good bike shop welding; especially any frames anyone has built they're proud of

All much appreciated guys!

Ulick Ireland
