I really like the first sentence. Could the second sentence be something like, 'improve a bigger wheel as well as reinventing smaller ones', or even just, 'improving the wheel one shop at a time,'. or????

The issue is I like lots of small stuff instead of fewer bigger stuff, and also we are always tinkering with small wheels, making new things at our shop.
