This isn't a collection of songs but it is bike related and it is audio based. I'm guessing some of you know some of the folks involved. It's a PRX (Public Radio Exchange) produced, hour long piece about and by cyclists who have been struck by cars telling their stories. Some of them are pretty dark and harrowing as you can imagine, (there are some stories involving death or dismemberment) so consider that a content/trigger warning. Still highly recommended, though, if you're up for it.

You might consider including some French songs.
Two classic ones:
A Bicyclette by Yves Montand

A Bicyclette by Bourvil

I am sure that there are many more but this is a good start...
Merci,

Hello all,

For something completely different I recommend the tango “La Bicicleta Blanca” by fame Argentine musician Astor Piazzolla (lyrics by Horacio Ferrer). Here is a link:

The lyrics to this tango are truly amazing.

Another key historic referent is “My White Bicycle” (1967) by Tomorrow. This song is especially important to bike activists as it was inspired by the anarchist “White Bicycle Plan” of the Provos (https://dangerousminds.net/comments/the_white_bicycle_revolution)

We have a few more references and links to bicycle inspired music (mostly Latin American) here:

June Madrona has several songs that feature bikes, that might be good, I can't remember which right now though.

the people in this video would be safer if they skipped the styrofoam hats and didn't ride in the door zone.
instead of stay in your lane it should be stay out of the door zone!
