Bike Collective Wiki Site
Is anyone on this list involved with the http://www.bikecollectives.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page ? I'd like to propose the changes below but the member discussion page I posted on isn't generating a response. I hate to just start making a lot of duplicate posts in the blind.
I suggest "Maintenance Classes" for patrons be added to Common Activities as it is different than "Mechanical Training."
I've posted a draft outline of the VéloCity Bicycle Cooperative basic maintenance class under "Teaching Resources" but that is a sub-topic to "Earn-a-bike." Maintenance Classes for the general public are often offered by coops and on the list there has been some discussion of volunteer mechanical training. To me, a volunteer should know at a minimum what is taught in a basic maintenance class so they do tie together.
I think a page for "Volunteer Training" might have value too. And change "Mechanical Training" to "Open Source Mechanic Training"
Thanks for considering my suggestions.

Hey Ron,
I am an editor/admin for the wiki, although I have not been paying very close attention to it lately due to it's seemingly insurmountable spam problem.
I encourage you to add and change anything as you see fit -- this is the nature of a collaborative editing system. Feel free to email me off-list if you need help or have any specific questions about the wiki.
Best, D.

yep, it's open to be edited once you're logged in. It'd be great to see the wiki come back to life. There was some discussion at bikebike this year about how to consolidate and improve bike collective network information, part of that would be figuring out the best way for the wiki to be updated and active.

As far as I can tell, the main page is not editable by all users, only by admins.

I just checked, and I can't edit it. No edit tab. I have the edit tab on the [Teaching Resources] page where I put the class outline.
