Public Work Station Improvements
Hello Friends,
Cycling season is just around the corner and here at RBP we are super excited to
see everyone riding again. Winter has kept us busy and we've made some great improvements
around the shop.
There have been some recent improvements in Reno's riding conditions, with the addition
of two new major bike lanes. Arlington received striping from First Street south
to Skyline Avenue, and Holcomb was striped from Mill Street South to Mt Rose St.
Thank the City Council and the RTC Bike and Pedestrian Committee for helping to
make Reno A safer city for cyclist.
We have some exciting events coming up to get everyone excited about riding. April
2 is our 5th annual We HeArt Bikes Art Show. If you have never been I can't say
enough about this event. Since its inception this event has continually amazed us
at the number of artist who ride a bicycle. Last year we had submissions from over
50 artists and we expect that number to increase this year.
The other event we want you to think about is our 2nd annual Bike Day, May 21. Bike
Day is our annual Community get together and Bike Swap. We invite bike organizations
from all over to come and meet with the public to get their message out there. It
is also our annual bike swap, come sell your bike on consignment or get a table
and sell your own wares. (table not included)
Ride on,
RBP

Dan's Night every Wednesday from 5-7pm
Dan's Night is held every Wednesday at the Reno Bike Project Community Bike Shop
at 541 East 4th Street, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This class is open to all community
members interested in learning how to repair and maintain their bicycles. This
is a free and informal workshop taught by trained and experienced volunteer mechanics.
Those in attendance guide the evening based on what they want to learn and what
their bicycles need.
Cost is free. Participants must bring their own bicycles. Tools will be provided
by Reno Bike Project.
Public Workstation Improvements We have currently made some changes and improvements to our public workstations that you all should know about. In hopes of keeping our tools from growing legs Mr. Casey Clark has built them a lockable cabinet to sleep in. Public tools and workstations are still available to everyone and we now have a check in/out system. We are also requiring you to leave an identification document with us as you use the workstations. Cost to rent the stations and tools is $3/hour.
