Our Community Bikes Job Posting - Service Manager
Hello!
Just putting the word out that we are hiring for a Service Manager at Our Community Bikes in Vancouver, BC. The job posting is attached. Please spread the word and share as you see fit.
Thanks! Sophia
Hey folks!
thanks for doing all that you do and so much more, it's a lot of work to promote and uphold non profits. I just wanted to address that in the list of things tha this positions is responsible for, there needs to be a much stronger and clear expression on how important it is to mentor those more marginalized and at risk of discrimination. That this position is really interested in training the least represented in the bike industry to senior and experienced positions.
thanks for hearing me.

Hi Jesse,
The job description posted seemed to feature exactly the type of expression you requested already. Can you clarify why you made your request and what your relationship is with PEDAL?
Thanks,
cyclista Nicholas

Hey folks,
I have to apologize that my communication was intended only for those at Our Community Bikes and mistakenly responded all.
They're hiring for the position I used to occupy and had to leave due to covid and personal safety.
They do great work, and I guess I wanted reassurance that uplifting, supporting and training mechanics was central to the position.
I apologize.

Jesse,
That makes a ton of sense, thanks for the clarification. I can relate to the need to make sure priorities you had nurtured won't be neglected by the next person to take the baton.
