does anyone deal with OSHA inspections or know what the threshold is for getting on the radar in that respect?
just curious. a volunteer asked, and I have no idea.
-- thx!
We were told by an OSHA employee who volunteered with us that their regs do not apply to volunteers. Safety, however, is still everybody's business! Jim Sheehan Executive Director Ohio City Bicycle Co-op 1840 Columbus Rd Cleveland, Ohio 44113 216 830 2667 OhioCityCycles.org jim@ohiocitycycles.org

Good morning,
We had a free OSHA inspection provided by a local university (part of one of their departments) and we got a full comprehensive report and review completely for free. We then implemented some new safety measures for volunteers, added a fire extinguisher or two, and then made a few more changes that the volunteers really appreciated. So, Check out some local college, community college, or just a google search in your area for free OSHA inspections and see what you find.
All the best,

Also it's probably good form to schedule a fire inspection, they'll have a variety of requirements and suggestions for the space. AFAIK it's the local FD that handles them.
