Critical mass & music
I'd like to ear from the community about your technical solutions when it comes to play music in a critical mass. We in Trois-Rivières are starting to built the habit of having a critical mass each month.
Music is kind of great during those events.
Having a DJ on a trailer is our ultimate goal, but in the meantime we can simply play music with our bluetooth speaker. Having only one person playing music cannot make it heard from the mass.
Any software of ideas to have the entire mass play the music in sync? Are you using a special app? It be great if we could have one "master" and many "slaves" to make the music travel throught the mass.
Any cues?
Thanks

Claude,
What you're looking for is something to get multiple bluetooth speakers to listen to the same transmitter; that problem is more hardware than software.
Bluetooth is mostly a short range broadcast. You might look to see if bluetooth repeaters exist, that would be a hardware item if they did. It might be laggy though. There might even be a type of bluetooth speaker you could buy in quantity that is designed to function as a mesh network, repeating a single connection throughout the network.
Or, you could just do a very short range pirate radio broadcast and have several riders carry radios tuned into the frequency. Again, hardware solution.

Just adding this essential part-! If you do opt for short range radio to broadcast, make sure to choose a frequency that isn't already in use!!!!
