I was getting email from several different shops to discuss software. I want to be able to bring other folks into that conversation when they want to, so I created a general slack team for bike collectives:
bikecollectives.slack.com
If you want to discuss specific stuff without spamming the email list, let me know and I'll add you. This isn't intended to replace the good discussion on the email list; it's more just for immediate collaboration, etc.

Sheldon, I just sent you a team invite.
Yeah, I can't open it up completely, so just send me a request and I'll invite anyone that wants to be on it. I must have added that bikefarm domain accidentally.

+1
need to learn what the software is, usually open source, joining all sorts of different systems, like NationsBuilder, facebook, twitter, other systems to join one, is a pain... some might be worth it, but a little like dependency hell, and costs associated, for non profit coop groups trying to start up, be in budget, keep learning to a minimum.
like PBWorks.com, previously called PBWiki.com, a hosting site, I chose for a project, based on ease of use for others, turned out it was just me doing all the writing drivel, and now 8+ years later, not moved it to a more standard MediaWiki, and tools and automated, symantic web type optoins as a disabled writing tool too, editor non standard, but what was costing hosting, went free, some projects go the other way, start free(ish), like google, gmail, free but quickly, it seems balloons to more than the 15 Gig free amount into $2/ month, in perpetuitty, which adds up, on limited disabled income, might have been 5 gig, went up to a higher free amount.
CrippleWare, trial only, and source code available, github accounts requiring generating access keys, etc, all a learning curve, or social media requiring full names, etc... OK for some stuff, but when bikers get attacked, can't protect self, say CritMass protest rides, and then cars attacking bikers online, or after crashes, someone gets killed, anonymity for Mental Health, substance abuse counseling, and other concerns, google and others turning up, in a boil the frog type scenerio... but i digress, middle of the night, just woke back up, from pedal cart riding, wiped me out, short distance, mid day heat,
continue to regular programming, /jk
