In Salt Lake City we are looking into opening another open shop night on Saturday. For those of you that have Saturday hours, what are they?
We in St.louis are talking of moving away from Saturday open hours. Saturdays are about the kids. 6 volunteers = 6 teachers.

In Portland, Saturday was our busiest day, so we started 12-4pm. Then we expanded to two shifts
11-2:30pm 2:30-6pm...
its kinda a pain in the butt because sometimes the afternoon peeps flake and the morning people stay all day.... we're working on that. I think 4 hours is best. good luck!
At Sibley Bike Depot in St. Paul, MN we are open 10-6 Saturdays in the summer and 12-5 in the winter. Saturdays is a huge sales day - usually $500-1000 in a given saturday during the season. Staffing is sometimes hard - we divide the day into 10-2 and 2-6 shifts but sometimes the morning folks do have to stay all day.
We've found people like morning hours for sales and also volunteering, which is why we start at 10am.

At re-Cycles in Ottawa we are not open Saturdays. All our staff are un-paid volunteers and none of them want to work on the weekend. This summer we opened on Sunday afternoons because one volunteer was available and willing to make the commitment.
