Hey everyone,
StlBicycleWorks is moving this Sunday to its new home via bicycle. As part of this move we are weighing everything that gets hauled by bicycle to the new facility.
Does anyone out here have any idea about any weight records for moving items by bicycle?
Thanks.
nothing in the guinness book/web site maybe we have a new category?!?!

I can vouch that we once moved a full Hammond organ, with pedalboard,
Leslie speaker cabinet, power supply, AND organist, all by human power:

My friend Richard, who owns this rig, says: "The Hammond C3 weighs 450
pounds including the foot pedals and bench. The Leslie 251 weighs
about 150 pounds. The organist weighs about 150 pounds. The UPS with
batteries weighs about 150 pounds. The trailer weighs about 100
pounds. My guess is 1000 pounds total."
Later we towed 8 people sitting on the trailer. Figured about 1,200
lbs.:

I'm sure someone from Salt Lake City has a picture of the piano trailer that gets hauled out to the farmer's market. It's a custom trailer, and the piano has been customized by chopping off the legs, but it's amazing. Last time we were in SLC, we watched them ride it up into the farmer's market. It has a full on trailer ball hitch that connects to the ball hitch welded to the brake bridge on the bike if memory serves. It did not look like fun on hills.
some quick googling found this:

and I believe the upright bass + trailer at the beginning of the story belongs to a thinktank regular if i'm not mistaken.
