Dear think tank,
I've set up a flickr account to host bike collective photos. I have a dream of documenting the amazing thing we are doing. I'd love for everyone to contribute a photo of their bike shop, just so we can start to get an idea of who we're talking to, put a shop to the email address. also, seeing how shops are organized is fascinating and helpful!
Please send 1-3 photos of your shop to:
*merely32been@photos.flickr.com (it's just some secret email address you get with the account so you can easily upload photos, the name has nothing to do with anything)*
Please make the title of the email "bike collective name" - "city", "state or province" "zip code", (country if you want to)
You can view my first upload of portland's bike farm herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/93412361@N07/, and hopefully, we can all see all the photo's uploading.

fun exercise, google image search "bike collective photos".https://www.google.com/search?q=bike+collective+photos&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=gMQlUYe7AsWbiQe8_YFY&ved=0CC8QsAQ&biw=1280&bih=626 makes you smile.
cheers, -momoko
p.s. if you want the password to the flickr account just let me know.
I like the photo sharing idea- A lot of my collective photos are on flickr already and it would be easier if it were just hpoto pool or group that we could all contiribute to.
Good to see the Bike Farm!

I agree with Josh, just create a pool and then people like me who already have thousands of photos on Flickr can just add them to the pool.

Thanks for the feed back and photos. I have linked to your flickr accounts and added photos from the Picasa.
While I think this is also important, it's a little different than my original goal. I wanted people to pick a quintessential picture of their shop. I was hoping to get inspiration for how shops organize themselves. As well as have a place where the images are all organized, by name of shop and location.
I imagined with the easy upload of just sending an email, people could just snap shots from their phones, and send them in.
I can just search the internet for photos of shops, look on websites and pull things down. But then it's my interpretation of the best photo and also, its way more work. So, if you still feel inclined, it'd be nice to get a link to the flickr/picassa account AND for you to send in 1-3 photos of your shop to
