If You're Planning on Doing a Workshop at Bike!Bike! and You're from the US
I've been notified that if you are a US citizen crossing the border in Canada and you tell them you are going to give a workshop, they can require that you get a work visa. I don't know about you, but that seems like a hassle. Consider simply stating that you are planning on attending a conference. No need for details.

If it is made clear that you are attending a conference, and that you *are not being paid* to do anything there, there should be no issue.
