volunteer appreciation party
Hello all,
I'm from MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Cincinnati. We're an all volunteer run organization. Every year we like to throw a volunteer appreciation party to celebrate all the volunteers who bust their bust to make MoBo happen. The problem is, it ends up being the core volunteers who throw the event. We're brainstorming ways to have a fun event, that is moderately priced, that we don't have to put too much planning into. Any ideas?

Ooops let me try that again...
Here at Free Ride in Pittsburgh, we had our friends help out who are pretty good party planners, and they organized an event called My So Called Bike. (yes, themed after the short lived tv show)
As a fundraiser it was pretty successful. They raised almost $2K. As a way to celebrate Free Ride it was incredible.
Free Ride offered the space. They did the promotions, got some DJ friends together and rented a PA. We secured the drinks and just cleared out the space the day of.
If you have friends who can help you with these things, you could have a great party that can be energizing instead of burning folks out.
