I think most of your West Coast colleges are on the trimester system; most of ours here get out by mid-May with semesters.
Either way, not sure the Durham Bike Co-op can come- that's also our peak shop season.
Best, Leslie

Ask a student if they can miss a weekend in the the first week or two of school vs. missing finals. Most colleges have finals in June, so I don't think decision works that well for students either.
We were hoping to attend this year as well, September would be possible, June is not.

I don't have my notes from last year's final workshop readily available (the wiki isn't as helpful as I'd like), but I do recall the Vancouver contingent suggesting hosting it either in September or June, to coincide with one of two big bike events going on. There was a strong sense from the other participants that September would be a Bad Idea, since the student community is such a big part of the bike collective community. Since San Marcos hosted so successfully last year (June 24-26), Vancouver had a strong precedent to go off of, and the late June timing allows them to try to tie it in to this year's Velo-city conference, as well.

So I just checked the Bike! Bike! website and I see that this years event is scheduled for June 21-24. Why? This is literally the peak of the season and makes it impossible for us to attend.
We've been to 3 Bike! Bike!'s in the past and they were some of the most magical, inspiring events for our group; invaluable. It's a shame that we will again not be able to attend this year.
Frustrated!
