I'm guessing the question is directed at our rack, we find it can be a bit of a challenge as the spacing is only 16" apart, but if you stagger the bikes it's fine. If we were going to build it again we'd cut the PVC longer to ensure all bikes fit in, I think right now they are 6' long. The rack works great, and looks better, because it's suspended from bike chains (not shown in the picture) and doesn't impede getting to any of the bikes on the bottom.
