Hello all, I wanted to thank you for your input. We did the event which ended up being a punctual repair stand in a school garage sale event. We also had thematic tables that had the aim to raise awareness to certain aspect to mechanic and cycling: 1- pumping station- understanding what a tube is, what is good pressure, how to use a pump, how to spot a puncture 2- helmet - how to put it on 3- a treasure hunt for bike parts to understand their function and certain mechanical princples : a seat post for ergonomy, a front wheel for tightening the nut properly, the pedals for "rightey tightey , lefty loosey, and opposite, etc.
We also repaired around 25 bikes for around 4 hours of work. It was rough but enjoyable.
